Harry Targ is a professor of political science and Director of Peace Studies at Purdue University, and is a regular contributor to The Rag Blog . On the show we discuss a range of topics including issues related to globalization, austerity, and the rise of resistance worldwide; the neocons, the neoliberals, the peace movement, and the important role of diplomacy, especially regarding Iran and Cuba; the Cuban revolution and how new U.S.-Cuban relations are likely to effect it; the contradictions of the Obama legacy; Hilary Clinton and interventionism; the amazing rise of Bernie Sanders; and what Targ sees as “a new spirit of revolution” and where progressives should go from here.
Joining Targ and Thorne Dreyer in the discussion is The Rag Blog‘s Roger Baker.
