Trump vs. the Pope! Bernie vs. Hillary! The Republicans vs. Sanity! Progress Texas PAC director and Rag Radio political analyst Glenn W. Smith joins Thorne Dreyer in a discussion of — YES! — the weird world of presidential politics.
We talk about Nevada and South Carolina, the Texas primary and Super Tuesday. And the GOP’s refusal to entertain an Obama Supreme Court nominee — and the political impact that could have moving forward. We address the mudslinging and name-calling between some in the Clinton and Sanders camps. And much more!
Glenn Smith, who serves as director of the Progress Texas PAC and writes a weekly column for Quorum Report, is a former political reporter for the Houston Chronicle and the Houston Post. A prominent Democratic consultant, Glenn managed Ann Richards’ winning Texas gubernatorial campaign in 1990, has coordinated national campaigns for MoveOn.org, has worked for former Texas Lt. Gov. Bill Hobby and U.S. Sen. Lloyd Bentsen, and served as a senior fellow at George Lakoff’s Rockridge Institute in Berkeley.
